I would replace the tensioner too. Make sure the battery connections are clean and good. If you can borrow one from a neighbour you can get one at PartSource. The problem is that when you start driving, that bearing isn't going to be functioning properly because the outer races won't be tight enough against the knuckle. When i pulled the tire, caliper, and rotor off of the vehicle, the hub slid out like nothing. Without a high-quality Ford Focus alternator, all of your vehicle's electrical functions diminish and your ability to enjoy many of its functions disappears. We finally tapped it out with a ball peen hammer very carefully.
Electrical problem 2003 Ford Focus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 97,000 miles Need to replace the alternator; 2003 Focus with ztec engine.
