Allinformation described is verified with documents. Fuel mileage is terrible, but for a performance vehicle acceptable. I have a recurring problem with a service stabilitrak light intermittently going on and off. Little of substance has changed with this year's model. I am very happy with my saab.
. I've had the same problems with the driver side door module, which has completely stopped working. You will be pleasantly surprised. Since the driver side is used most frequently, the problem just becomes obvious on that one. Also, the 2007 was recalled, and I think the 2008 should be as well.
Eventually it became a necessity to become an expensive out-of- pocket expense. Like a squeaky drivers seat. The downside are the poorly constructed cup holders, but all other finishes are beautiful. Although it happens consistently, I would have died or been seriously injured if I hadn't downshifted and pulled my E-brake in order to finally get the vehicle to stop. The ignition is subject to the same problems. I have had a couple of minor hardware issues that were taken care of under the manufacturers warranty.
I took it back approximately 7X to the dealer for repair and approximately 8 additional times at other mechanics. It handles great and has all the options. It is bigger than most suv's and lower to the ground, but the handling is better. The interior is in great condition. This is no more badge engineering than Lexus is to Toyota or Honda to Accura, etc. Very much fun to drive as the handling is super and the power delvery is smooth and very, very fast. Quiet, fast, great handling, nice engine rumble and most of all fun to drive. It is very easy to bump it with your arm and have it shut off.
