One feature of the power top module is that if you have the top up, but all the windows down, you can push and hold the top button in the raise or up direction, and the pump will run for about 5 seconds then shut off and all 4 windows will raise to close at once.
However, you may be in a situation where you need to raise it but it will not go up. I tried to test continuity on the wire that connects to the microswitch and couldn't find a signal. I was afraid to drive it I thought the sparks might make it catch on fire. The black one that is a bit chewed up is a ground I think. We have to rely on others to help us. Not saying this is definitely your problem but certainly a possibility. I'll check the old switch while I'm at it as well.
