Don't let the fact that this is animation fool you, this one is not for the kids. The path to redemption is never easy, and if Constantine is to succeed, he must navigate through the dark urban underbelly of Los Angeles, outwit the most cunning spawns of hell, and come face to face with arch-nemesis Nergal - all while battling his own inner demons! . If you are a fan of this character this is a great look of the world he inhabits. God that pool of rotting and liquifying corpses in the demons lair had to be the most disgusting thing I've seen. This was great but a little disappointing. In a world of shadows and dark magic, not everything is what it seems, and there's always a price to pay.
It just stops, abruptly right as the plot is starting to unfold. It is alone as he is. Maybe they will make more and pick this back up. Although I believe the movie was pretty good outside of the miscasting on the lead role. This movie however actually re-tells one of the storylines I remember from the comic fairly faithfully.
I don't know much about him and I've only recently heard of him thanks to Legends but this guy has been through shit that would drive Dr. The calls he's had to make and the shit he's seen. Follow along little fellow, keep him company. As for the animation and voice acting and judging the mere content, it's great.
I hope they make more. With the help of the mysterious Nightmare Nurse, the influential Queen of Angels, and brutal Aztec God Mictlantecuhtli, the pair just might have a chance at outsmarting the demon Beroul to save Trish's soul. Still worth a watch even though it can be done in one sitting. As a huge Constantine fan I feel it was a little half assed. A decade after a tragic mistake, family man Chas and occult investigator John Constantine voiced by Matt Ryan set out to cure Chas's daughter Trish from a mysterious supernatural coma. Slaying demons who devour souls for fun is a burden-full life. Strange, Batman, and the Punisher to the brink of madness. The attempts to bring it to the screen have not been great.
He alone crushes them into exploding little droplets of blood. His demons attack him like miniature goblins seeking harm. One that'll multiply to many, but in the meantime, just one. . . . .
