If you liked the other two as well, then coming back to this one might not be the homecoming you're expecting. Being Latin I deeply respect the different scenes from Latin America that are showed in this movie and they truly give the Latin tunning the place of respect they deserve for spooling the super tunning to another level with the different types of modifications made to the cars. Taken for what it is, the film is very enjoyable with good cars and action. Let's not even get started on the two that followed. It's not that the films that have been out so far aren't that great because some of them are, it's just that this is the one that epitomises what summer as a teen ager is all about.
Meanwhile, the cops are desperately seeking the perpetrators of several truck hijackings and believe Toretto is the man behind it. In my opinion it's acting, story, plot, special effects are the best of the series so far and almost makes it stand out as a respectable movie. Tokyo drift takes us back to the highschool days but uses 20 something actors both in America and Japan. Last year it was Scary Movie and I'm sure in 1977 it was a film like Star Wars and then in 1981 it was Raiders of the Lost Ark. I liked the fact that it had a large part of the original cast. This is not going to win any Oscars for anything but what it will do is entertain you. .
He does a good job of playing his part and not going beyond that and try to make a great performance. Of course along the way he seduced by the life, but that is not what we really care about. For all you Paul Walker haters out there he did a good job as well. Also it looks kind of silly to have tall, lean, pretty boy Walker against tall, muscular, severe-looking Diesel. Its hard to find a good movie to watch now days and none of the movies in this series disappoints at all. This was a good movie.
And of course there is Vin Diesel. Both actors do what they can. He's fantastic with these action sequences, not only making them pulse-pounding thrill rides but also letting you feel like you're in the car with these characters. Even though I am well above the age that should like movies such as this. Fast and Furious, or 4 Fast 4 Furious if you're keeping count, is a movie you can basically sum up in one sentence.
Gathering the factors to make a perfect movie: strong, talented males, charming, beautiful females, desirable racing car, the good content with adventure action, dramatic scenes, Fast And Furious 4 is a spectacular comeback of the couple speed Vin Diesel and Paul Walker glorifying the previous parts of this series. Once these characters get in their cars you won't be bored for a moment. This is a throwback of those dumb 1970s drive-in movies. I really love the action in this film even if there was too much fantasy car chasing. But it all works out.
I feel at some point they should hold a little something back to save the franchise. Diesel reprises wanted felon Dom Toretto, who after escaping at the end of the first movie seems to have started a new life in the Dominican Republic knocking over trucks. Just toss a bag of popcorn in the microwave, shift your brain into neutral no thinking required and have a good time with this movie. He is not a nobody anymore. Minutes later, we learn of Letty's murder which in turn basically sets the tone for the rest of the movie as Diesel sets off on an all out rampage to even the score. When a crime brings them back to L.
If you have never seen any of the fast and the furious movies then you don't know what you are missing and you should start watching them all from the start. And wouldn't you know that driving plays a big part in Braga's whole smuggling operation so both Brian and Dom team up, amidst some trust issues, to bring down the drug cartel. Overall I was pleasantly surprised of how good the film was. Paul Walker The Skulls, Varsity Blues plays Brian Spindler. For dialogue, everything is one-lined crazy nonsense.
I also like the fact that they incorporated American muscle cars instead of just imports this way the movie will appeal to people of all tastes. It dazzled, it sparkled, it wowed. Worth the movie to pay to see this one in the theater. The fast and the Furious 1, opened an all new gender in Sport Cars movies, hitting right where it's supposed to. It doesn't get any shallower than this movie.
They actually wrote a good story and it flowed very well, the action and driving scene's were shot and edited superbly, you did get the feeling that you were in the car at times which adds to the intensity of the driving scenes. It will expedite you for 90 minutes into a world where Honda's are souped up to look like Dragons and junkyard scraps are rebuilt from scratch to be better than they were before, better, stronger and faster. Besides by the time the other movies rolled around this movie does have a connection to the others and not just Vin Diesel. When the heat is on Dom once again, he tells Han it's time to go do his own thing. Anyone who's ever been a fan of the Fast and the Furious series will absolutely need to go see this on the big screen. My heart still belongs to the old Detroit muscle cars, so I love a few of the other entries in the series, but still found this one enjoyable enough to add to my collection.
The plot is pretty thin but I'm sure for fans of the first movie it will be nice to see the two leads back playing their roles. Throughout the movie, Brian is getting to know Dom, earning his trust, etc, but at the end of the movie, both Dom and Brian are forced to make a decision about each other. It also never forgets the story. Besides the many races, there is also some gunplay and some hand to hand fighting, and some interesting hijacking sequences. There is just something about the guy, something that you really can't put your finger on, but he just has it. I promise you will not regret choosing to watch all of these movies. Mia is back and the moment she is taken into custody guess who comes to save her? If you haven't seen this movie, rent it tonight Brian O'Conner Paul Walker wants to join the family of the head of California street racing Vin Diesel.
